I am delighted to welcome you as we prepare for the first virtual edition of the International Conference for Excellence in Emergency Care (ICEEC) which will be held on 26-27 May 2021.

This virtual conference will enlighten the participants with the most up-to-date knowledge from these areas of expertise. The scientific committee has put in a tremendous effort to generate a comprehensive program, which will be hard to resist. Every effort has been made to address all the hot topics related to these specialties in an integrated clinical manner. It will feature highly respected internationally, regionally and locally renowned speakers who will share, discuss, debate, and dissect significant new developments and scientific advancements that will impact the future of Emergency Medicine. We feel confident that after attending this program, participant will walk away with the most up-to-date scientific information available which will ultimately upgrade their clinical skills while improving the overall standard of care in their clinical practice models.

The conference is accredited by ‘Saudi Commission of Health Specialties’ and endorsed by many prominent international societies Like: World interactive Network Focused on Critical Ultrasound (WINFOCUS), Global Network in Emergency Medicine, French Society of Emergency Medicine and Red Crescent.

Targeting all medical professionals who deal the complex nature of Emergency Care; those engaged in pre-hospital, in hospital or inter-hospital Emergency Medical care, disaster planning and on the front line of COVID-19 pandemic; and those involved with the training of Emergency physicians, nurses and paramedics, the conference aims to promote the excellence in Emergency care.

The conference will have 3 days of pre-conference courses including ultrasound and disaster Medicine with hands-on training. The main virtual live conference will be held across 2 days and will have 3 tracks containing thematic lecture covering all the major topics about: Emergency Medicine, Nursing emergency care and paramedical pre-hospital care with an invited faculty of renowned international, regional, and local speakers.

On behalf of the Scientific Committee, it is my pleasure to welcome all of our distinguished guests to join The International Conference for Excellence in Emergency Care virtual conference (ICEEC), on 26-27 May 2021. The Emergency Medicine Department organizes the conference at King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center is a well-known leading regional institute that achieved excellence in health care delivery, patient care, and scientific research.

The ICEEC is a multidisciplinary virtual event with different tracks and streams that aims to disseminate knowledge and evidence-based approaches in the field of emergency medicine.

The scientific program will cover the fundamental, clinical, and translational knowledge of hot emergency medicine topics, with experts participating and presenting from all around the world. The targeted population includes physicians, nurses, paramedics, and all professional health care allied.

The tracks will include updated topics on trauma, cardiovascular, pulmonary, toxicology, and neurological emergencies. Pioneers in the field of critical care medicine will discuss controversial subjects in sepsis and covid-19 pandemics.

We will enjoy posters and abstracts from our emerging and early career researchers and recent controversies in the medical education domain. Experts on point-of-care ultrasound will organize a hands-on workshop in the KFSHRC simulation center where the participant can enjoy practicing state-of-the-art skills in high-fidelity manikins.
